Build and operate the shared “Science Ops” systems that let Mistral’s science organization move fast at scale. Own the operational layer underneath research—designing infrastructure and data/tooling workflows, automating internal processes with scripts and integrations, and ensuring smooth hiring and onboarding. Partner across Finance, Legal, Security, and Engineering while translating your work into clear, timely updates for leadership and adjacent teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and operate shared infrastructure for research, including resource systems, data systems, tooling, and observability.
•Create automation and internal tooling (dashboards, integrations, self-service tooling, alerts) using modern coding tools.
•Own hiring and onboarding operations, including interview logistics, leveling consistency, and day-one productivity.
•Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and Engineering to keep cross-functional system interfaces clean and scalable.
•Provide strategic, well-timed updates to leadership and adjacent teams on what’s being built and what’s next.

Key Requirements

•Strong systems thinking to identify processes, dependencies, and leverage points.
•Ability to build your own tools and automations using modern coding assistants; comfortable with scripting, APIs, and lightweight data work.
•Experience working with infrastructure, cloud systems, or vendor management at scale.
