Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property damage claims, including coverage confirmation/analyzing and liability exposure recognition.
  • •Investigate damages by researching information from the insured, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential when applicable.
  • •Assess coverage by analyzing complex policy terms and contingencies, including reviewing prior loss history and creating SIU referrals as appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and determine complex claim settlements within authority limits, collaborate with management for amounts outside authority, and maintain accurate claim file documentation.
  • •Advance knowledge and use estimating and virtual inspection tools; support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response, including possible on-call, travel, and attorney-involved adjustments.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates and dwelling/structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local and non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
