Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and efficiently along required routes while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment as needed and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices and bills of lading) and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Safely operate a vehicle by following all traffic laws and safety regulations while transporting loads on required routes.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and remain seated for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; travel frequently as needed.
