Join the Microwave Integrated Systems Laboratory (MISL) to conduct research on advanced signal processing for target detection in the dynamic auroral ionosphere. Key Responsibilities

•Work on the project “Advanced Signal Processing for Target Detection in the Dynamic Auroral Ionosphere.”
•Develop, implement, and evaluate signal processing algorithms suited to a highly dynamic auroral ionosphere environment.
•Investigate how the algorithms apply to real data and analyze and interpret findings and results.
•Engage with project partners on the design and integration of algorithms in the processing chain.
•Contribute to dissemination through technical reports and presentations to funders and stakeholders, and support publication activities as appropriate.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 36,636 - 46,049 annually

Key Requirements

•First degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and a PhD (or close to completion) relevant to the research area (or equivalent experience).
•Experience developing signal processing algorithms, with radar signal processing experience preferred.
•High-level analytical capability.
•Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
•Ability to coordinate your work with others to avoid conflict or duplication of effort.
