Job Summary

Provide plant-wide technical support for automation and data acquisition systems, including after-hours coverage and day-to-day troubleshooting. Debug and optimize control packages covering PLCs, HMI screens, drives, ladder logic, industrial networks, and data systems. Support automation project execution through basic engineering analysis, assist with HMI design, and help maintain documentation, backups, and backups for critical control systems and configurations.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical support for control systems throughout the facility, including after-hours support.
•Troubleshoot and debug existing controls packages to improve performance across PLCs, HMIs, drives, ladder logic, industrial networks, and data systems.
•Apply basic engineering principles to analyze technical issues and propose or implement solutions.
•Assist with the design and implementation of user-friendly HMIs for operators.
•Create and maintain documentation for controls programs/configurations, and maintain backups of critical PLCs, HMIs, and PCs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related) from an ABET-accredited program.
•Entry level to three years of experience, preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
•Proficiency in controls programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
•Experience working with PLCs/control systems (e.g., Siemens, Modicon, Allen-Bradley) and industrial networking concepts.
