Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect and prepare eggs for incubation by grading, traying, observing for defects, packing eggs for orders, and transferring pedigree eggs without mixing hen numbers.
  • •Process day-old chicks by counting, vaccinating, wing banding, delivering chicks within the complex, and entering data using a touch-screen tablet.
  • •Maintain sanitation by cleaning and sanitizing setters, hatchers, egg rooms, chick processing areas, and hatchery vehicles.
  • •Perform weekly hatchery monitoring samples (including air plates and swabs) and fumigate specified facility areas as required.
  • •Carry out additional hatchery duties such as holding eggs for fertility checks, assisting with sorting, covering absences, and maintaining clean work and break areas.
