Lead end-to-end contracting for the HVC 10 project, ensuring effective contract execution, administration, and compliance across legal, commercial, and technical standards. Partner with project teams, shared services, and external stakeholders to develop contract strategies and compensation models, manage contract risks, and support change and dispute resolution. Provide mentorship and quality assurance to the Contracts Specialist while preparing reporting and analysis for management.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and mentor the Contracts Specialist, providing direction, support, and quality assurance across contract activities.
•Manage end-to-end contracting processes including RFP planning, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award recommendation, contract execution, administration, and closeout.
•Lead the creation and maintenance of contract risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
•Oversee contract administration including invoice reconciliation, dispute resolution, change management, and performance monitoring.
•Provide proactive guidance on contract strategies and risk mitigation to Project Managers and teams, liaising with legal, risk, customs, and trade compliance stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 138,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 8 years of experience in Contracts and Procurement roles within projects (mining, infrastructure, or energy).
•Expertise in contracting strategies and delivery models (EPC, EPCM, ECI, hybrid models, etc.).
•Excellent commercial acumen, including risk identification, negotiation, and contract management.
•Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
•Excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and lead change.
