Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead field inspections and quality audits as the internal and external go-to technical expert.
  • •Provide guiding direction for inspections and set direction and goals for inspection and/or the business line.
  • •Lead audit strategy for your area of expertise and serve as the key point of contact for engagements and senior leadership.
  • •Oversee construction inspectors on assigned projects to ensure compliance with codes, rules, and regulations; recommend notices of violation, stop work orders, and temporary approval for occupancy when appropriate.
  • •Work directly with construction contractors and act as an external spokesperson on technical project issues.

Key Requirements

  • •High school education plus ten years of experience (or demonstrated equivalency via experience and/or education).
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • •Experience working with construction contractors and providing overall guidance and supervision of subordinates.
  • •Preferred: experience working with Amtrak and/or Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT).
  • •Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and willingness to work flexible schedules, including overnight work.
