Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and update in-house branches of OSS software including Linux, Buildroot, and u-boot.
  • •Develop secure, performant OS/platform software from early boot loaders through business logic for Linux-based satellite components.
  • •Maintain spacecraft Ethernet network and connectivity, and develop software update processes for spacecraft.
  • •Support secureboot and runtime security for Linux-based satellite components, including OS/platform-specific test infrastructure.
  • •Develop and support device drivers for third-party and in-house components and interface with hardware engineering teams to enable on-orbit operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science; or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • •Development experience in C, C++, Python and/or Rust.
  • •Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
  • •Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • •Basic understanding of testing and engineering fundamentals to support software lifecycle development, testing, and support.
