Key Responsibilities

•Video Ads Tech Lead: Partner with Product and Design to roadmap and execute the Video Ads format to industry leadership; deliver high-quality, scalable Android solutions.
•Technical Strategy: Establish Android best practices and design reviews for reddit-unique ad formats that scale to millions of users.
•Full-Cycle Leadership: Drive discovery, prototyping, testing, experiments, and deployment across the development lifecycle.
•Raise the Bar: Mentor senior engineers, establish design/testing standards and advocate for customer needs across teams.
•Excellent communication and collaboration: Work with remote/ distributed teams to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.

•8+ years of software engineering experience (Staff level)
•3+ years of Android mastery with Kotlin and modern Android architectures
•Completed 4+ Android projects from ideation to production
•Experience in Ad Tech, building highly interactive/rich-media mobile experiences
•Product-minded with a track record of delivering user-facing features with strong UI polish and performance
