Develop Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) for YETI Food & Beverage products by pre-screening color samples with CMF leads and coordinating with external suppliers. Own color matching to CMF specifications, ensure performance requirements are understood, and provide final color approval before mass production. Source new materials to expand the CMF library, communicate throughout trials, and help deliver high-quality CMF outcomes on milestone timelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Pre-screen color panels and samples with suppliers/tier partners for color, texture, and gloss while maintaining CMF design intent.
•Develop color matches with suppliers for specific YETI partnerships following CMF matching specifications.
•Apply CMF specifications by understanding color requirements and performance expectations of finishes.
•Provide final color approval prior to starting mass production.
•Communicate with the Core Color team and suppliers throughout the color trial process and source new materials for the CMF library.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•BA or BS degree in Color/CMF, Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio.
•At least 4 years of professional experience in CMF or Color design/development in a product or consumer-goods company.
•High color acuity and ability to pass the Munsell Hue Color Test with a superior score.
•Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication/presentation to articulate CMF concepts and manufacturing processes cross-functionally.
•Keen attention to detail and ability to self-manage, meet milestones/deadlines, and manage multiple activities with possible pivots.
