Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, resilient data platform services for Cirium’s aviation analytics business. Work across the software lifecycle—research and design through implementation, testing, support, and continuous improvement—while using DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code. Collaborate with engineers through peer review, respond to data-platform support needs, document technical solutions, and incorporate emerging technologies including GenAI.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, test, and maintain scalable and resilient data platform services using DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.
•Peer review code to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
•Respond to support requests to keep other teams running with the Data Platform.
•Write and maintain documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
•Keep abreast of new technology developments and bring them into the business, particularly GenAI.

Key Requirements

•Experience in software engineering or a related field, including equivalent experience and non-traditional backgrounds.
•Experience working with data platforms, distributed systems, and data pipelines in cloud-native environments.
•Understanding of SRE practices, including observability, incident response, and automation.
•Experience with Git/GitHub, Terraform, AWS, Kafka, and Python (or equivalent technologies).
•Some data manipulation experience, such as SQL.
