Job Summary

Design and develop mechanical sub-systems used in semiconductor process chambers, partnering with global teams to create concept layouts, schematics, and specifications. Perform moderate-complexity engineering analysis, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and generate product specifications. Use CAD tools (UG NX and Teamcenter) for machined/structural/fabricated/sheet metal component design and oversee manufacturing and installation, including procurement and assembly coordination for design projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with global teams to design mechanical sub-systems/systems of process chambers for semiconductor equipment.
•Develop, design, and modify mechanical engineering concepts/layouts/schematics and detailed drawings/specifications for difficult scope.
•Perform engineering analysis of moderate complexity and address simple FEA/hand calculation problems.
•Design and draft machined, structural, fabricated, and sheet metal components using CAD tools (UG NX and Teamcenter).
•Oversee manufacturing and installation processes and coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues as needed.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•2-3 years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development and manufacturing environment.
•Strong mechanical engineering design knowledge, including engineering drawings and GD&T/ASME standards.
•Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including ferrous/non-ferrous metals and ceramics.
•Experience involved in new product development across concept/feasibility, prototype, and handoff to high-volume manufacturing.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering; semiconductor equipment industry experience is preferred.
