Job Summary

We are seeking an AI Engineer/Data Engineer to join Samsara’s Data & Analytics team. You’ll develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, contribute to Samsara’s Data Platform, and work with data from CRM, product, marketing, order flow, and support to enable advanced analytics. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable data solutions, improve data quality and observability, and empower data-driven decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and backend ingestion to support the Data Platform and analytics.
•Collaborate with teams to integrate data from multiple sources (CRM, product, marketing, orders, support).
•Manage critical data pipelines to enable growth initiatives and advanced analytics.
•Facilitate data integration and transformation across applications, ensuring interoperability with data layers and data lake.
•Improve data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and observability, and write data transformations in SQL/Python for data products.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, data science, information technology, or equivalent engineering program.
•3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database architecture.
•3+ years of experience in building/maintaining large-scale production-grade end-to-end data pipelines, including data modeling.
•Experience with modern cloud-based data-lake and data-warehousing technology stacks, and familiarity with ETL/ELT tools.
•Experience leading end-to-end projects and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and design scalable solutions.
