Job Summary

Senior Cloud Support Engineer responsible for acting as a technical escalation point for mission-critical Akamai Cloud Compute customers, investigating complex issues, and collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering and Product teams to determine the best actions. You’ll guide Core Support, address incidents, and develop training and knowledge sharing to elevate the team’s troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical escalation point for mission-critical production customers.
•Investigate complex issues escalated from Core Support through to resolution.
•Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering and Product teams to determine the best course of action for customer issues.
•Work with the Incident team to address emerging issues with the platform and services.
•Develop training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions based on patterns from escalated investigations.

Key Requirements

•Relevant experience in a similar Cloud Support role.
•Experience assisting customers in person and in writing, with strong collaboration and customer-focused issue resolution.
•Ability to provide regular feedback to peers and cross-team members, identifying issues across cloud computing products and infrastructure.
•Advanced troubleshooting skills in networking, DNS, firewalls, Linux administration, Kubernetes, APIs, and object storage.
•Baseline knowledge of AI infrastructures, AI operating systems, and AI storage solutions like VAST; familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
