Key Responsibilities

•Prepare eggs for incubation by grading for defects, transferring pedigree eggs without mixing hen numbers, packing eggs for international orders, and processing day-old chicks including counting and wing banding.
•Process chick and egg operations while entering required data using a touch screen tablet.
•Maintain sanitary conditions by operating tray washer and high-pressure sprayers/water hoses to clean and sanitize setters, hatchers, egg rooms, processing areas, and vehicles.
•Collect weekly hatchery monitoring samples (air plates and swabs) and fumigate specified facility areas as required.
•Support additional hatchery tasks such as holding eggs for fertility checks, assisting with sorting, covering absences for related roles, and performing basic vehicle maintenance and work area cleanup.

Key Requirements

•At least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
•Be willing to sign agreements and follow biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines for the biosecure jobsite.
•Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including regular lifting/stacking of chick boxes up to 15 pounds and occasional pushing/pulling of heavier loads.
•Use safe lifting techniques and follow all applicable safety policies and procedures (including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, and PPE).
•Eligible for consideration by residing in the United States to be considered for an interview.
