Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve data management practices and support national and sub-national vaccination programme staff with data flow processes for Polio/AFP and vaccine-preventable diseases surveillance.
  • •Execute regular data compilation, quality control, and analysis to support surveillance and evaluation decisions at all levels.
  • •Ensure regular data harmonization sessions/meetings across national laboratory and surveillance officers at district, provincial, and national levels.
  • •Conduct data management needs assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses and support solutions to address gaps.
  • •Develop and implement SOPs for data management, backup, and archiving; support training/refresher training and provide supervisory visits for data quality verification and feedback.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in data management, computer applications and management support, basic epidemiology, statistics, or demography.
  • •At least 5 years of experience in data management, epidemiology surveillance, vaccination and/or accelerated disease control and surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases.
  • •Excellent computer knowledge for essential programs used in data management.
  • •Technical expertise in data management, epidemiology, and infectious diseases control.
  • •Ability to conduct operational research, evaluation, monitoring, review, and data analysis; strong teamwork and adaptability.
