Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and direct live and recorded content using Ross Overdrive and Dalet Newsroom.
  • •Own the show by making quick calls and developing workarounds when failures occur.
  • •Build master rundown patterns for all shows and code rundowns.
  • •Coordinate with editorial and production personnel to create and execute newscasts using automated production control systems.
  • •Direct talent and technicians; may act as a traditional Director when applicable.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of live news television directing experience.
  • •3+ years operating multiple screens and software applications simultaneously in a broadcast environment.
  • •Proficiency with live broadcast production workflows (technical directing, audio mixing, robotics, live/remote cut-ins, breaking news, and graphics insertion).
  • •Ability to punch and call and to work in both NBC and Telemundo control rooms.
  • •Eligibility requirements: BA degree in Production (or related) or equivalent work experience; join the Directors Guild of America; must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States; willing to work in Philadelphia, PA.
