Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead environmental elements of onshore renewables projects, including coordinating EIA studies, planning applications and environmental assessments to support project development
  • •Collaborate with sector leads, client account managers and technical teams to drive thought leadership, bid opportunities and win new work
  • •Provide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues to promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement
  • •Manage large, complex projects with emphasis on technical quality, safety, and financial performance while guiding project teams and resource planning
  • •Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities for project strategy, resourcing and delivery, and contribute to strategic planning and business development

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant environmental or planning degree (or equivalent experience), with chartered status or actively working towards chartership
  • •Demonstrable experience in delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for onshore renewables schemes under UK planning regimes (Town and Country Planning Act, Planning Act 2008)
  • •Familiarity with Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) and related planning/EIA processes for onshore renewables
  • •Capable of leading client communications and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators and the public, including public consultation and stakeholder engagement
  • •Proven people management experience with a track record of developing and upskilling internal teams
