Key Responsibilities

  • •Own design and implementation from idea through release across ingestion, inference pipelines, APIs, and customer-facing surfaces.
  • •Ship across the stack (agent, backend, infrastructure, and frontend) based on highest-impact needs each week.
  • •Build internal agents to automate repeatable engineering work and distribute them across the team.
  • •Define how AI-native engineering works at Origin, including agent context, permissions, and tooling.
  • •Design and operate distributed systems on AWS using EKS, Clickhouse, and Kafka against production SLAs, driving scalable storage and API contract decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building data-intensive systems at scale with high-throughput event processing and distributed coordination.
  • •Deep understanding of distributed systems principles including streaming/batching, backpressure, recovery, and consistency models.
  • •Production fluency with Python across services, inference pipelines, and tooling.
  • •Production experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent), and event streaming (Kafka or equivalent).
  • •Comfort building customer-facing functionality in React frontend and driving performance-focused engineering decisions.
