Advise TikTok on complex regulatory matters across U.S. federal, state, and international jurisdictions. Monitor and analyze emerging laws and regulatory frameworks, assess their business impact with cross-functional partners, and provide legal analysis, interpretations, and implementation guidance. Support regulatory inquiries and investigations, develop internal guidance to operationalize regulatory change, and partner with government relations to shape regulatory engagement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and analyze emerging regulatory developments across U.S. federal, state, and international jurisdictions.
•Assess applicability and business impact of new regulatory requirements with cross-functional partners and provide legal analysis and implementation guidance.
•Support regulatory inquiries and investigations, coordinating with stakeholders and developing legal positions and communications with regulators.
•Partner with government relations to inform regulatory engagement strategies, including legal analysis for advocacy and policymaker/regulator discussions.
•Develop scalable internal guidance and processes to anticipate, track, and operationalize regulatory developments.

Key Requirements

•Qualified to practice law in the U.S.
•5+ years of relevant experience across government, private practice, and/or in-house roles.
•Strong understanding of key global U.S. regulations, standards, frameworks, and related political laws/regulatory guidelines.
•Ability to independently identify and evaluate legal and reputational risk and make well-informed recommendations.
•Excellent cross-functional collaboration and the ability to manage multiple matters while exercising strong legal and business judgment.
