Job Summary

Senior cybersecurity forensics engineer responsible for investigating and reconstructing security incidents, performing root-cause analysis, collecting and preserving evidence across cloud, on-premise, and endpoints, and building automation (including GenAI) to scale forensic analysis and coordinate with Incident Response teams in a hybrid São Paulo office supporting Mercado Livre's e-commerce and fintech services in LATAM.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct forensic analysis and reconstruction of security incidents by analyzing logs and evidence to identify attack vectors and event sequences.
•Perform root-cause and impact analyses to determine origin, scope, and consequences of incidents, producing actionable mitigation inputs.
•Manage and collect evidence across cloud, on-premise, and endpoint environments, ensuring integrity and traceability.
•Develop automation (including GenAI) to scale forensic analysis and collaborate with Incident Response teams to accelerate decision-making and process evolution.
•Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support security improvements across the organization.

Key Requirements

•Experience in forensic analysis and incident response including investigations, log analysis, and security incidents with strong networking and OS knowledge.
•Experience with cloud and on-premise systems for evidence analysis in AWS, GCP and/or Azure
•Scripting and data analysis skills in Python and/or Bash for investigations and data processing
•Familiarity with analytical tools and log-analysis solutions (e.g., Jupyter Notebooks, APIs, web requests, Splunk/ELK)
•Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in high-stakes, security-focused environments
