Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute the data sourcing strategy aligned with the Index Pricing roadmap, including continuous pipeline management of future sources.
  • •Lead end-to-end pricing and contract negotiations with data vendors, structuring licensing agreements and managing renewals, amendments, and benchmarking.
  • •Oversee data ingestion pipelines and connectivity integration (APIs/feeds/FTP/WebSocket/FIX/streaming), ensuring normalization and validation meet Index Pricing quality standards.
  • •Establish and oversee automated monitoring and quality assurance for reliability, soundness checks, alerting, and vendor SLA adherence with stakeholder health reports.
  • •Hire, mentor, and develop the two other DSG members; set team priorities and cadence while fostering a documentation-first, cross-trained culture.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience identifying and acquiring unique or alternative data sources that create competitive advantage.
  • •Track record negotiating commercial data agreements covering pricing, licensing terms, redistribution rights, and SLAs.
  • •Deep understanding of market data ecosystems (exchanges, vendors, alternative data providers, aggregators).
