Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce code-qualified welds in 1G or 2G positions using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (manual and automated equipment).
  • •Perform visual weld inspection before, during, and after each welding operation and identify safety concerns.
  • •Maintain shop traveler process documentation (e.g., heat lots, welder ID, dates) and support quality with PMAPS and process audits.
  • •Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and Lean Manufacturing to improve quality metrics such as cycle time and first pass yield.
  • •Support New Product Introduction (NPI) teams and perform preventative maintenance and calibration for equipment, tools, and fixtures; keep work areas clean and organized per 5S+1.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; AAS degree in welding preferred.
  • •Prefer welding experience and ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • •Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently and complete repetitive motion work with hands, arms, and shoulders throughout the shift.
  • •Correctly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
  • •Capable of safely and efficiently operating a powered industrial forklift and other powered industrial trucks.
