Job Summary

Provide engineering and maintenance support for the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system for Dubai Metro. Assist the ATC Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance, including installing, servicing, and repairing signalling and train control equipment across system management, vehicle control, control centres, depots, and along the track and onboard trains. Use technical drawings and procedures, maintain accurate records via a computerized maintenance management system, and perform shift/emergency duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the ATC Team Leader in preventive and corrective maintenance on the ATC system, covering system management, vehicle control, central control, vehicle onboard equipment, and lineside equipment.
•Install, service, and repair signalling and train control systems in control centres, signalling equipment rooms, depots, along trackside, and on onboard trains.
•Perform repairs and maintenance using hand, machine, electrical, and electronic tools while following technical drawings, signalling schematics, manuals, procedures, and instructions.
•Replace faulty signalling equipment and handle handover/taken back to the electronics workshop for repair.
•Maintain accurate maintenance records and support tools/equipment upkeep; perform shift and emergency duties when required.

Key Requirements

•IRSE license required and certified to work on railway signalling equipment.
•Minimum 1 year of working experience as a qualified electrical or mechanical technician maintaining and repairing computer-based control and communication equipment.
•Hold a vocational trade certificate, diploma, or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
•Knowledge of signalling principles and fixed block/moving block signalling systems, software-based interlocking devices, and related signalling equipment.
•Ability to use and calibrate electronic test equipment and PC for maintenance, and maintain accurate computerized maintenance records.
