Optimize image processing pipelines, collaborate with hardware teams, mentor engineers, and ensure reliability through rigorous testing and KPI tracking.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable computer vision and AI algorithms for defect detection, classification, and measurement with micron-level accuracy.
•Own end-to-end development from proof-of-concept to production-ready systems, including algorithm development, software integration, and deployment.
•Innovate and integrate AI capabilities such as deep learning, synthetic data generation, 3D reconstruction, and Vision Language Models.
•Design and optimize image processing techniques (e.g., image stacking, ROI-driven processing, tiling strategies, Flat Field Correction) to improve quality and efficiency.
•Mentor junior engineers and ensure solution quality through testing (e.g., Gage R&R, confusion matrix analysis) and KPI tracking.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience in computer vision, machine learning, and AI, preferably for industrial automation or semiconductor manufacturing.
•Design and deploy complex AI systems from concept to production, with strong software development lifecycle knowledge (e.g., PLC, PDCA).
•Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow and strong Python programming skills.
•Strong understanding of optics/imaging principles and image acquisition systems; experience with control systems/robotics is a plus for gantry/cobot inspection.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree OR Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
