Job Summary

Industry Lead Solutions Architect will partner with GTM leadership, field teams, and customers to deepen Databricks’ Financial Services positioning by crafting domain-specific POVs, owning technical messaging, and guiding asset development. The role blends customer-facing engagements, internal content strategy, and partner enablement to drive growth across FS sub-verticals, reporting to FS Tech GM leadership.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute the Databricks Industry strategy for Financial Services, including creation and curation of sub-industry assets (POVs, demos, reference architectures, customer references, evaluation templates, implementation plans)
•Create standardized frameworks for asset quality and prioritization, determining build-vs-partner decisions
•Drive joint GTM strategy with partners (GSIs, RSIs, data partners) to align partner solutions with FS sub-vertical POVs and use cases
•Embed with strategic FS customers by engaging with technical and business leaders to refine messaging and asset strategy based on shared pain points
•Guide customers through the full use case lifecycle—from credibility and vision to winning evaluations and value realization with SOWs and reference templates

Key Requirements

•15+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with deep experience in big data technologies (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
•Deep domain expertise in Financial Services across sub-verticals such as Capital Markets, Banking & Payments, Insurance, Asset & Wealth Management, FinTech, or Financial Data Providers
•Proven ability to develop and execute industry-specific GTM strategies, including outcome-focused content and technical assets that resonate with business and technical personas
•Experience working with global system integrators, consulting organizations, financial services technology, or data providers is a positive differentiator
•Strong communication, storytelling, and Enablement skills with a track record of mentoring technical teams and enabling partner ecosystems (GSIs and regional boutiques)
