Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise safe and efficient daily field operations for Meter Service Technicians, including oversight of 10–12 technicians and monthly customer inquiries.
  • •Coordinate and schedule emergency response and fieldwork, ensuring compliance with gas service procedures, O&M manuals, standards, safety rules, and approved budgets.
  • •Ensure safety compliance through required safety trainings, weekly safety meetings, accident reports/investigations, and achievement of field safety KPIs.
  • •Administer customer and regulatory communications, resolve customer issues, and handle claims/billing, leak reports, timesheets, work orders, and auditing of field records.
  • •Oversee regulatory compliance schedules and meter & service-related activities; approve field designs, manage operator qualifications in active status, and participate in supervisory on-call rotation including unionized crew assignment.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 8 years, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10–12 years as a gas fitter (plus completion of the gas fitter progression program).
  • •Five or more years of experience in Natural Gas utility operation.
  • •Valid CT Driver’s License.
  • •Must be able to support gas emergency field situations and be available for on-call/unplanned response.
  • •Knowledge of state and federal rules/regulations; HVAC license/certification is preferred; must be able to obtain NGA operator qualifications.
