Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and execute lifts using mobile/tower cranes (as signal person), forklifts, gantries, tuggers, chain falls, come-alongs, and other hoisting equipment.
  • •Inspect and install rigging hardware, confirm working load limits and correct rigging configurations, and manage an organized rigging crib/laydown yard.
  • •Signal crane and forklift operators and run lift team communication, including setting and maintaining exclusion zones for the duration of the pick.
  • •Rig, crib, block, roll, and land data center mechanical equipment such as pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, skids, pipe racks, modules, and related gear.
  • •Open/close work areas, follow LOTO/PPE/lift-permit and site rules, report unsafe conditions, and support punch-list work through system turnover.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •Journey-level construction rigging experience with 3+ years in industrial or commercial construction, or completion of a recognized rigger/ironworker apprenticeship, or equivalent military experience.
  • •Ability to inspect, select, and install rigging hardware (slings, shackles, spreader bars, below-the-hook devices) and confirm working load limits and proper hitch/sling angles before a pick.
  • •Willingness to work safely at heights and outdoors on a changing data center construction site, including extended hours, nights, and weekends during construction windows.
  • •Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site procedures, including lift permits, exclusion zones, LOTO, and PPE requirements.
  • •Read plans and lift sketches, and familiarity with load charts and pick planning for mechanical equipment sets (e.g., pumps, air handlers, cooling towers).
