Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the Container Product Engineering team (about fifteen engineers), setting goals and running a healthy operating cadence with sub-teams and clear ownership.
  • •Coach and grow a senior-heavy team (Staff/Principal), partnering on hiring and calibrating the engineering bar, while handling underperformance early and directly.
  • •Partner with Containers Product Managers and a Technical Program Manager to translate requirements into outcomes; require design docs/requirements before cycles and protect against mid-cycle churn.
  • •Set and maintain the technical bar through design/PR reviews and final decisions on contested technical directions; stay close to the work by reading code and occasionally shipping.
  • •Forecast and plan work and headcount, commit to dates, report status, escalate early when plans are at risk, and drive adoption of agentic coding tools with safety guardrails.
