Senior Asset Pipeline Engineer to design and own the OpenUSD-based asset pipeline for a large 3D asset library, partnering with simulation and infrastructure teams to take the system from design through production. You will architect schemas, build automated pipelines, ensure asset integrity in CI, and optimize material translations for sensor fidelity in simulation.

Key Responsibilities

•Design the OpenUSD schema and composition strategy for a large, versioned 3D asset library that must scale across authoring tools and simulation engines
•Build and own automated pipelines that move assets between DCC tools and real-time/simulation engines, removing manual hand-offs
•Define automated validation gates that catch asset-integrity and fidelity issues in CI, before they reach production
•Translate complex authored materials into USD-native representations (UsdShade, and MDL) while preserving physical fidelity for sensor simulation
•Design the asset metadata strategy that powers discovery, semantic labeling, and downstream tooling

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 151,000 - 230,000 annually

•Experience authoring and validating custom USD schemas (API and applied schemas)
•Strong UsdShade material expertise: authoring, validating, and converting complex material networks

•Managed USD at library scale: versioning, namespaces, and validation across thousands of assets
