Job Summary

Design, build, and maintain the data engineering layer for a Microsoft Fabric platform, owning end-to-end pipelines from API/file ingestion through to clean, modeled, AI-ready datasets. Create and optimize Data Factory pipelines, Python ETL, Spark/Python notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2 transformations. Build Bronze-to-Silver and Silver-to-Gold modeling, implement incremental/CDC patterns, ensure data quality, and develop Power BI Direct Lake semantic models to support reporting and decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain Data Factory pipelines for API-based ingestion using REST and OData.
•Develop Python ETL scripts and Spark/Python notebooks for custom extraction, transformation, and SQL-based logic.
•Create Dataflows Gen2 (Power Query) pipelines to handle messy Excel/CSV data.
•Implement incremental loads, watermarking, and CDC patterns; integrate data sources into Fabric and manage Bronze-to-Silver and Silver-to-Gold transformations.
•Build and optimize Power BI semantic models (Direct Lake), prepare reporting datasets, monitor pipeline/platform capacity and costs, and maintain technical documentation.

Key Requirements

•Must have minimum 7-10 years of experience.
•Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, OneLake).
•Strong ETL and transformation skills using Python and SQL, including notebook development.
•Experience designing star schemas with fact/dimension modeling and slowly changing dimensions (SCD).
•Ability to manage pipeline reliability and quality using incremental loads, watermarking, and CDC patterns.
