Job Summary

Lead marketing and underwriting for the assigned Surety portfolio within the East Region for the Allianz Trade North America Surety team. Maintain and grow broker relationships, recommend new brokers, and develop an underwriting strategy that produces profitable business in the US. Document underwriting decisions, conduct account and portfolio underwriting per Allianz Trade guidelines, collaborate across regions, and help mentor and develop junior underwriters while attending local industry events.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute the established strategic business plan to maintain and expand Allianz Trade’s Surety business in the United States.
•Develop and underwrite a profitable Surety portfolio through engagement in the surety marketplace with existing and new broker relationships.
•Document underwriting decisions and recommendations in a consistent and transparent manner.
•Conduct account and portfolio underwriting activities in line with underwriting guidelines and portfolio management requirements.
•Collaborate across the Americas and internationally and support mentoring, training, and development of junior underwriters while attending local surety events as requested.

Salary: USD 170,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•At least 7+ years of industry experience with demonstrated surety knowledge in the US in the local market.
•Proven ability to underwrite and grow a Surety portfolio with a strong track record of successful underwriting results.
•Established track record developing business with brokers and strong local broker relationships.
•Entrepreneurial skill set to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
•4-year college degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance, plus basic awareness of AI technologies (e.g., GenAI, Copilot, ChatGPT) and enthusiasm for learning and integrating AI into business processes.
