Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production.
  • •Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
  • •Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs, preventive maintenance (PMs), and rebuilds.
  • •Collaborate with other departments to resolve proactive equipment problems.
  • •Maintain a safe, clean work area, support Sonoco quality and safety policies, and manage small equipment upgrade projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in an industrial environment or military experience.
  • •Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • •Experience with PLC troubleshooting; industrial and motor controls experience preferred.
  • •Comfortable using mechanical lifts, ladders, and performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • •Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks on rotating off-shift schedules requiring overtime, including weekends.
