Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide MFLC consultation and non-medical, short-term, walk-around counseling to eligible service members and families across assigned primary and secondary locations.
  • •Deliver assessments, brief counseling, consultation, solution-focused action planning, referrals with linkage, and follow-up as indicated.
  • •Provide training and health/wellness presentations, participate in health fairs, and support base/installation activities as directed.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application to ensure accurate reporting while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
  • •Respond to critical incidents, surge/on-demand events, and special requests; manage duty-to-warn and restricted reporting situations per DoD protocol and staff cases with regional leadership.

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited program in a relevant behavioral health field (e.g., social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, counseling).
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license to provide services as an independent practitioner (LCSW/LMFT/LCMHC/LPC or equivalent requirements).
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate technology competencies (Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet, and video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Prove US citizenship; be able to engage and communicate with military members and/or children, and pass required background and clearance checks (NACI, IRC, criminal background/FBI fingerprints).
