Key Responsibilities

  • •Validate embedded Linux firmware and middleware features across the product lifecycle and multiple hardware revisions.
  • •Execute regression and system integration testing, including firmware upgrade/downgrade flows and recovery mechanisms.
  • •Test PDU functional features such as outlet control/scheduling/grouping, user/sensor management, alert/threshold configuration, monitoring, and logging.
  • •Validate networking (Ethernet connectivity, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP/static IP, DNS, NTP, HTTPS/SSH) and perform SNMP and REST API validation with interoperability testing.
  • •Develop automated validation for the PDU using the existing NETGEAR test automation framework and support reliability testing (stability, power cycling, brown-out, memory leak, OTA interruption).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • •5+ years of embedded software validation experience.
  • •Strong Linux experience with embedded Linux products.
  • •Experience testing Embedded Linux products and validating REST APIs.
  • •Experience with Python automation and tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
