Job Summary

Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor needed to lead cost management for construction projects, including estimating, cost reporting, cost control, and post-contract closeouts. You’ll advise clients, coordinate with vendors and project teams, and ensure value engineering and SOX considerations are addressed within a global real estate and infrastructure context.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise clients on strategies, manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, bids, and bid levelling documents, make final recommendations to the client, attend and chair bid interviews, and manage the appointment process.
•Develop project estimates for full projects (construction, fees, direct costs), review junior team estimations, present estimates to clients, provide value engineering and risk assessments, and benchmark costs with external data.
•Establish and manage cost reporting, review cost reports and forecasts, monitor project budget and spend forecasts, and maintain the commercial risk register with periodic project team meetings.
•Oversee cost control processes, review payment applications, advise on contractor entitlements, assess change orders, and apply dispute prevention/management/resolution procedures.
•Oversee invoicing processes, benchmark performance, and manage final accounting, post-contract audits and closeouts; conduct post-contract reviews and develop handover procedures.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
•Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.
•RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
•Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
•Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
