Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely perform work associated with operation, maintenance, and construction of the gas system.
  • •Apply fundamentals of natural gas and observe hazards to ensure safety of self, coworkers, public, and Company property.
  • •Work with others in a team environment, interacting with employees, customers, agencies, and trade allies.
  • •Understand, diagnose, and correct problems related to the gas system.
  • •Follow Company gas practices and standards, including safety rules and resuscitation methods, and be able to render practical first aid.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23.04 - 55.95 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Safely and effectively perform operation, maintenance, and construction of the gas system.
  • •At least three years of gas construction and maintenance experience, or complete a formal training program, or demonstrate skills on an appropriate test.
  • •Understand and diagnose gas-system problems and perform work to correct them.
  • •Comply with all terms of the Memorandum of Agreement Governing Gas Department Training and Job Progression.
  • •Complete high school or obtain a NY-recognized high school equivalency diploma.
