Key Responsibilities

  • •Exercise safe driving practices to transport live poultry from growers to the processing plant while ensuring public safety.
  • •Comply with DOT safety rules and regulations, company policies, and local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • •Perform and document pre-trip inspections (e.g., tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses).
  • •Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary and ensure the load is secure before movement.
  • •Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight), clean and wash the truck as needed, and report maintenance issues to a supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 21 years of age.
  • •Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
  • •Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws.
  • •Ability to read and write legibly, with a sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
  • •Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate; must be willing to work a flexible schedule on any shift.
