Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake design and planning tasks for structural elements including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, light gauge steel, and foundations.
  • •Prepare structural designs using hand calculations, Excel workbooks, and advanced structural analysis software to determine applied loading and specifications.
  • •Develop structural design documentation (3D models, plans, sketches, and details) using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • •Review construction submittals and RFIs and help develop detailed, timely responses.
  • •Collaborate with in-house engineering disciplines and perform condition assessments and site visits as needed, preparing written reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a Structural Engineering concentration (or a related field) and have completed at least 1 year of study.
  • •Graduates must plan to continue with a Master’s degree in the same or similar discipline after the internship.
  • •Have interest in advanced study in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • •Some production software experience, including Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or Bluebeam Revu (preferred).
