Job Summary

Lead a software development team responsible for delivering Java-based applications in an Agile environment. You’ll mentor developers, coordinate with Product Owner and Scrum Master, drive architectural decisions, ensure sprint velocity, and maintain the stability and performance of a large thick-client desktop application across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the team to deliver new products, features, and hotfixes iteratively using an Agile methodology with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developers, and QAs
•Work with architects and other developers to provide technical input to the Product Owner
•Act as first point of escalation to remove impediments and maintain development velocity and achieve sprint goals
•Communicate and escalate issues in a clear and timely manner
•Team management including day-to-day and career development for team members

Key Requirements

•BS or MS in computer science, Geoscience, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline
•14+ years of experience in Software development of complex applications
•Java development experience including RESTful APIs, microservices, unit testing, Eclipse RCP/SWT
•Cloud and SaaS Development experience: Azure and/or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
•Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and technologies such as GitLab, GitHub
