Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and lead global privacy and data protection strategy across markets, products, customers, and operating environments.
  • •Serve as the designated Data Protection Officer for Europe, advising on GDPR and related obligations and representing Trulioo with regulators and enterprise customers.
  • •Mature privacy program operations and governance, including PIAs, DPIAs, data subject rights, vendor privacy reviews, cross-border transfer mechanisms, and privacy-by-design integration.
  • •Lead privacy incident readiness and response, including breach assessment, regulatory notification analysis, remediation, and post-incident improvements.
  • •Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Solutions, and Legal to embed privacy-by-design into agile development, support due diligence/RFPs/audits, and guide responsible AI governance.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, technology law, regulatory advisory, or related legal/risk leadership roles, including significant in-house experience.
  • •Extensive expertise in GDPR plus U.S. state privacy laws and Canadian privacy laws.
  • •Demonstrated ability to serve as a senior privacy leader or Data Protection Officer in a complex, global technology environment.
  • •Hands-on experience with PIAs, DPIAs, data mapping, transfer mechanisms, DPAs, SCCs, vendor privacy reviews, data subject rights, retention, and privacy incident response.
  • •Law degree or equivalent legal/privacy qualification; membership in good standing with a relevant law society or bar is strongly preferred.
