Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare, manage, and maintain project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts for MEP works, advising during design development and supporting value engineering to improve cost efficiency.
  • •Lead procurement and tender management for MEP trade packages, including tender documentation, pricing schedules, evaluations, recommendations for contractor selection, and support for negotiations and contract award.
  • •Manage contracts across the project lifecycle, including variations/change orders, contractor claims, payment application review, and support for final account settlement while ensuring contractual compliance.
  • •Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and forecasts, producing regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial updates; identify cost risks/trends/opportunities and recommend mitigations.
  • •Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and client representatives by participating in project meetings and providing commercial input for key decisions, including commercial oversight of major building services packages.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • •Professional membership (e.g. RICS, AIQS) is an advantage.
  • •Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP cost management.
  • •Proven experience across high-tech/semiconductor/data centre/advanced manufacturing projects and complex MEP systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of MEP systems costing and commercial management, including procurement, contract administration, Excel, and FIDIC or similar forms of contract.
