Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive export control and sanctions compliance for SAP’s APAC region and act as a regional representative of the Export Control Team.
  • •Provide legal advice on export control and sanctions compliance for software and services relevant to the APAC region.
  • •Interpret and explain complex export control and sanctions requirements in a business-friendly manner and help resolve related issues.
  • •Support export control/sanctions incidents and investigations in the APAC region.
  • •Build and lead a network of export control and sanctions champions, promote knowledge sharing, and provide education and training sessions.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Graduation from an accredited law school; further technical degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • •Minimum 10 years of work experience in export controls and sanctions in an export control, compliance, or legal function; law firm or consulting experience is acceptable.
  • •Rich expertise in export control and sanctions compliance regulations (or compliance expertise with strong desire to deepen export control/sanctions law knowledge).
  • •Excellent/Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English; written and oral proficiency in other assigned-region languages is a plus.
  • •Strong organizational/project management and strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills, including C-level communication.
