Support the design and production lifecycle of electronics packaging for airborne radar subsystems, including antenna, receiver, exciter, processor, and power supply. Work from requirements to develop unit design concepts, perform design trades, and create technical data packages. Produce detailed layouts and documentation using CAD tools, select precision machining techniques, and provide supplier support while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical support on major programs and interface with Lead Mechanical Engineers and Chief Engineers to meet design objectives.
•Contribute to project teams by supporting design development and ensuring established procedures are followed for technical data packages.
•Develop unit design concepts from requirements and perform design trades to support technical solutions to complex problems.
•Create detailed layouts and design documentation using Computer Aided Design tools.
•Support suppliers and cross-functional engineering groups through packaging transition to production, production support, and installation.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM or at least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
•Experience with ANSI drawing standards.
•Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances).
•Experience with electronic packaging.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
