Job Summary

Operate a truck and (occasionally) trailer to transport construction materials and equipment across job sites in Western North Carolina. Load and unload equipment, perform daily pre/post trip inspections with DOT documentation, monitor vehicle gauges, maintain vehicle mileage logs, and complete minor servicing or maintenance while escalating major issues. Follow DOT, OSHA/MSHA, and company safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate truck on public highways, roads, in the yard, and at job sites to deliver materials.
•Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate DOT documentation.
•Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
•Attach/remove transfer trailers and tilt/transport trailers as needed.
•Load/unload equipment or materials and maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.

Key Requirements

•Maintain a CDL Class A license and a good driving record.

•Operate trucks/equipment safely and efficiently and monitor vehicle gauges during operation.
•Maintain compliance with safety procedures (including OSHA/MSHA) and follow company policies and laws.
