Job Summary

Own software asset management for Microsoft enterprise software as the primary focus, with Oracle or Red Hat as a secondary scope. Optimize software contract spend and compliance by analyzing usage and licensing data, producing ELPs, and driving remediation opportunities and savings. Partner with global SAM stakeholders and vendors, manage billing/measurement toolsets, implement SAM standards and performance metrics, and leverage AI to reduce manual effort.

Key Responsibilities

•Optimize software contract spend and manage compliance by analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and implementing opportunities or remediating risks.
•Apply and advise on complex software licensing topics and produce ELPs across Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat IT environments.
•Navigate Microsoft and (where applicable) Oracle/Red Hat billing, tracking, and measurement systems and tools.
•Provide transparency of SW contract costs and ensure fair allocation of charges to business units and service owners based on software usage.
•Support and improve global SAM standards and processes, monitor performance indicators, and leverage AI to reduce manual effort and identify optimization opportunities.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant proven experience managing Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat software portfolios in an enterprise environment.
•Create comprehensive fully optimized ELPs from data collection through completion for Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat.
•Strong understanding of license restrictions, benefits, optimization opportunities, and BYOL concepts for use within AWS/Azure Cloud.
•Active hands-on work with Microsoft billing, tracking, and measurement tools and processes.
•Proficient use of SAM tools (ideally FlexeraOne), plus advanced MS Excel skills and experience embedding AI solutions in SAM operations.
