Key Responsibilities

  • •Champion safety, health, and sustainability by embedding Alcoa’s safety, environmental, and risk management standards across the portfolio.
  • •Lead a significant operational portfolio delivering safe, reliable, sustainable, and cost-competitive performance across refining and non-process infrastructure assets.
  • •Set strategic direction and drive value creation by aligning portfolio priorities, operational performance, capital investment, and asset strategy to long-term objectives.
  • •Lead transformation and future growth by shaping the operating model, driving productivity and performance improvements, and preparing the portfolio for continued evolution and expansion.
  • •Influence internal and external stakeholders, representing Alcoa with executive leadership, government, regulators, communities, Traditional Owners, industry partners, and investors.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive executive leadership experience in large-scale refining, mining, resources, processing, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industrial environments.
  • •Proven track record leading complex operational portfolios through senior leaders with strong safety, operational, environmental, and financial performance.
  • •Demonstrated success driving large-scale transformation, including productivity improvement, operating model redesign, organizational effectiveness, and culture change.
  • •Strong commercial acumen and strategic judgment, including experience overseeing capital allocation, asset performance, business planning, and risk.
  • •Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally supported by postgraduate studies and advanced executive leadership development.
