Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver structured fitness, sport, and recreational activities for residents.
  • •Encourage residents of different abilities and fitness levels to participate.
  • •Promote physical and mental wellbeing through activity and organise events and competitions.
  • •Maintain safe working practices within the gym and activity areas and create an inclusive environment for participation.
  • •Support wider centre operations as a trained and badged DCO, including safety/security and calm incident response and de-escalation.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold an NVQ Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (or equivalent).
  • •Be able to work the required operational shift pattern and complete the full initial DCO training programme.
  • •Confident leading and motivating individuals and groups with different abilities and fitness levels.
  • •Be calm, resilient, and able to manage difficult or challenging situations professionally.
  • •Be able to work in the UK with no visa sponsorship available, and meet eligibility for DCO/operational checks (including CTC clearance and Enhanced DBS checks).
