Job Summary

Join the HVDC team within SP Energy Networks Transmission to support major UK infrastructure investments powering the Net Zero future. You’ll lead continuous improvement of project financial reporting for ~£6bn projects across Eastern Green Link joint ventures and ScottishPower Transmission, supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end activities, and cash flow. Partner with project and commercial stakeholders, handle statutory and management accounting inputs, and help prepare board materials and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the development and continuous improvement of project financial reporting to support effective decision-making and clear understanding of project performance.
•Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities including value of work done reporting, accruals, prepayments, and cash flow forecasting.
•Review forecast expenditure with project teams and budget holders, challenge assumptions, and ensure reporting accuracy.
•Support management and statutory accounting requirements, preparing financial information for project and company boards and contributing to regulatory submissions.
•Work with teams such as Treasury, Tax, and Procurement to ensure compliance with financial policies, governance requirements, and funding arrangements.

•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
•Experience working with SAP and other financial systems.
